What is accreditation?
TURKAK, ILAC/EA mutual recognition and 17025 laboratory competence.
Accreditation is the quality infrastructure that underpins the reliability and national/international acceptance of conformity-assessment activities and the documents they issue (test/inspection reports, calibration certificates, management-system, product and personnel certificates).
Competence is assessed against international standards, sector rules and accreditation-body guides. A certificate from an accredited body gives assurance that the product or service meets the relevant requirements and helps remove technical barriers to trade.
Global trust is built through IAF, ILAC and EA multilateral / mutual-recognition arrangements. In Turkey, TURKAK has operated since 2001; it is a full member of IAF, ILAC and EA and has signed recognition arrangements in the relevant fields since 2008.
ESA Calibration Laboratory’s TURKAK accreditation is code AB-0319-K to TS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017. (The misspelling “akraditasyon” on the former site is corrected here; the old URL 301-redirects to this slug.)
