What is a gas calibration procedure?
Determining and documenting the deviation of a gas instrument against a reference gas or standard.
Gas calibration evaluates a gas-measuring instrument against a reference instrument, standard gas or system under defined ambient conditions, determines deviations and documents the process so detection results remain trustworthy.
The reference is tied to an internationally traceable chain; measurements follow a written protocol. Deviation may be corrected in the instrument settings. Results are compared with previous records to watch performance over time.
For gas-detection systems this is critical to occupational safety, process efficiency and environmental duties. Regular calibration reduces measurement error and the risk of false or missed alarms.
ESA Calibration Laboratory performs the work in the laboratory or on site under TS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and TURKAK AB-0319-K.
